Roots of Resilience / Colombia Earthquake Relief Campaign
When the ground moves, community becomes the foundation.
After the earthquake that affected communities across western Colombia, rural families in La Elvira, Cali, are facing the urgent task of repairing the places they call home.
Roots of Resilience is Mumuka’s community-led response: a direct and accountable initiative created to help fund essential construction materials for prioritized home repairs.
The model is simple. Families bring their knowledge, their work, and their determination to rebuild. Together with our local community, Mumuka helps mobilize resources to purchase the materials needed to begin: roofing, cement, wood, hardware, transport, and other essentials identified through each repair plan.
Every contribution is intended to become something tangible. Materials are purchased directly from local suppliers, delivered according to validated needs, and followed by clear updates on progress.
This is not about charity from a distance. It is about standing alongside a community with respect, strengthening local economies, and supporting the hands that are rebuilding home by home.
Your support becomes materials.
Materials become shelter.
And shelter becomes a place to begin again.

Soon, we will share the first prioritized needs, fundraising goals, and delivery updates.
